Any Top Ten German cars list has Audi either first or second. People consider Audis as nice as BMWs or Mercedes, but they seem like a friendlier company somehow. They have a great reputation for performance and durability, even though the country they’re made in doesn’t. Hungary is famous for a lot of things, none of which is making cars. That’s because almost no one knows that the superb Audi they’re driving was built there.
The Volkswagen Touareg Is Made in Slovakia
The average person outside of Europe doesn’t know Slovakia is a country. Their map books say it’s still part of Czechoslovakia. Germany has noticed that the wages are lower in Slovakia, but the output is just as good, and VW makes the Touareg in Bratislava, along with some Audis, and even some Porsches.
